As service animals become more prevalent in public spaces, it’s increasingly important for public entities to understand their legal obligations and best practices for accommodating individuals with disabilities who require them. This webinar will provide a detailed overview of the legal framework surrounding service animals in public spaces as they relate to students, employees, and members of the public, including:
- Service animal requirements under federal and state law
- Obligations of public entities (public schools, municipalities, public college systems, etc.) when individuals are accompanied by a service animal
- The intersection of the ADA, Special Education, and Section 504 for students with service animals
