Description
About the program
On April 24, 2024, the U.S. Department of Justice amended the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title II regulations to include specific accessibility standards for websites and mobile applications operated by public entities. The most significant change to the rules included the adoption of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 – a 92-page document setting forth a series of detailed and complex requirements related to web content accessibility for persons with disabilities.
The new regulations went into effect on June 24, 2024. However, the Department of Justice has staggered compliance dates depending on the size of the public entity.
On September 25, 2024, our team will host a 60-minute webinar to highlight some of the key changes and discuss initial steps schools and municipalities should take in light of the new rules.
Who should attend?
This program is recommended for IT directors and other personnel involved in website administration for school districts and municipalities.
