Master the Meeting: How to Bring Your Best Skills to IEP Team Management

LEA Representatives are essential members of IEP teams – they are responsible for ensuring that the District is complying with the requirements of the IDEA and committing the resources needed to ensure that students are receiving a FAPE. These are big responsibilities indeed! MADSEC and Drummond Woodsum are excited to offer a unique training specifically for LEA Representatives. This training will address the basics of special education law from child find to graduation, with a bonus section on student discipline and manifestation meetings. The training will also highlight how to run effective IEP team meetings, diffuse conflict, and reach consensus.
