Description
ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
Use of generative artificial intelligence (GAI) services like ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, and DALL-E is becoming widespread. Schools are no exception. Students and staff have already begun using GAI to create deepfakes, automate grading, complete assignments, and personalize learning. Like most technology, use of GAI by students and staff has benefits and drawbacks. It is time for schools to take affirmative steps to begin regulating the use of this technology.
In this webinar, we will briefly discuss what GAI is, how it works, what it can do, and some of its current applications in schools (as well as their benefits and potential pitfalls). After this introduction, we will spend most of our time reviewing and discussing a template set of administrative guidelines that we have designed specifically for schools to use to help regulate student and staff use of GAI. Attendees with receive a copy of this template that they can customize for use in their school units.
Don't miss this opportunity to stay ahead of the curve and help ensure your school's responsible and innovative use of GAI.
