About the Program
Enterprising students and staff are always looking for new technologies that will help them with their work. One technology making headlines is generative artificial intelligence (GAI). Services like ChatGPT, Bing, Bard, and DALL-E are proliferating and so is their use in various settings, including schools. Like most technology, use of these kinds of technologies by students and staff has benefits and drawbacks.
In this webinar, we will discuss what GAI is and how it works, what it can do, some of the ways it is being used in schools right now, and the benefits and pitfalls of its use (including important legal compliance considerations). We will focus on ChatGPT, but will make reference to other services as well. We will spend a portion of the webinar giving a demonstration of how the technology works so attendees who are not already familiar with it can see it in action for themselves. For many, it’s truly an eye-opening experience.
